A balloon dilation catheter is a tubular structure equipped with a balloon (dilation element) at the distal end and a luer connector (cannula) at the proximal end. Available in two versions.

To ensure radiopacity of the catheter, there are radiopaque marks inside the balloon.

Design options

  • High-pressure intravascular catheter for balloon dilation "Colubris NC" is a catheter whose balloon is little susceptible to increasing diameter with increasing internal pressure ("non-compliant")

  • Intravascular catheter for balloon dilation "Colubris" is a catheter whose balloon is moderately susceptible to an increase in diameter with an increase in internal pressure ("semi-compliant")

Intended use
Balloon dilation catheters are indicated for patients scheduled for balloon dilation of an artery and who are eligible for percutaneous transluminal angioplasty.
