Occluder
Left atrial appendage occluder in the delivery system
The occluder is a spatial structure manufactured by laser cutting from a nickel-titanium alloy tube (nitinol) with a membrane shell made of a permeable biocompatible material (polyamide).
The occluder is supplied compressed in the distal part of the delivery system sheath with an attached pusher. An access system is used to guide the delivery system to the implantation site. It consists of a guiding catheter and a dilator (supplied separately).
The occluder is designed to occlude (close) the left atrial appendage (LAA) for the cardioembolic stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation in inpatient settings in cardiology centers and cardiac surgery departments of clinics.
